INTRODUCTION
We all go to the doctors and they take samples from us. If your throat hurts they take a swab of your throat what happens to the swab after the test. If they draw blood or take a sample of urine, once they are done what do they do with it. They give you the results but what happens next?
What if you found out that they kept some and shared it with other doctors. They are still selling samples that they have grown from your original sample. What would you do? How would you feel?
This really happened right here in Baltimore at Johns Hopkins University. Let's learn more about the patient Henrietta Lacks to understand more about ethics, what's consider right or wrong.
